A warm
welcome awaits you at Pitt Barn Cottages which are set apart from the
neighbouring Owners home Pitt Barn in a cul-de-sac on the edge of the
peaceful village of Bray Shop and located just off the B3257. Pitt Barn
Cottages, The Stable and The Shippen, are
located on the edge of the Tamar Valley and are ideally situated for
exploring both Cornwall and Devon. |

The owners Colin and Frances
Bratchley of Pitt Barn Cottages, welcome visitors to walk round their
garden and conservation lake, by prior arrangement with the owners. Depending on the season there is a variety of wild life to see.
Visitors are welcome to stroll round the lake or relax and sit down to watch the wild life. There are wild duck and moorhens. Children must be supervised at all times). In the lake there are fresh water fish including carp, tench and gudgeon. There are also toads, frogs, tadpoles, palmate newts and lots of pond insects. |

In and around the conservation lake there are dragon
flies, damsel flies, moths and butterflies. In the garden there are many birds nuthatches, tree creepers, greater spotted woodpeckers and on rare occasions the kingfisher There are chaffinches, green finches, gold finches and on occasions gold crests and siskins. There are blue tits, great tits, coal tits and long tail tits. There are robins, sparrows, dunnocks, wrens, blackbirds, song thrushes and mistle thrushes There are pied wagtails, grey wagtails, collard doves and swallows. There are jays, crows, magpies, wood pigeon, kestrels, sparrow hawks, buzzards, pheasants and on rare occasions the barn owl. |
