By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable.

Non-payment of the balance four weeks before the start of the holiday will be treated as a cancellation during Covid-19 one week before start of holiday

We operate a Cancellation Plan where money received is refunded in the event of cancellation due to death, injury, illness, or a summons for Jury Service of any member of the party, booked through our website www.pittbarncottages.co.uk. Upon receiving written confirmation of the cancellation, Pitt Barn Cottages will send out a Cancellation Form that must be completed in full by a doctor or the court and returned within 28 days of the notice of cancellation.

In addition during Covid-19, we would offer you a credit note or a postponement rather than a refund, if you needed to cancel your booking due to contracting Covid-19 or needing to isolate due to being in contact with someone who has Covid-19 BUT ONLY if you booked through our website www.pittbarncottages.co.uk BUT NOT if you booked through an AGENT.

We do not accept any responsibility for any matters beyond our control or for any COVID 19 related matters that occur whilst you are staying in the cottages. Additional costs will be incurred if an extended stay is required due to catching Covid-19 and or needing to isolate.

We would recommend that you take out cancellation insurance to cover this cost.

Non-availability of Accommodation at The Stable & The Shippen

We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation at The Stable or The Shippen were unavailable for reasons beyond our control or due to government guide-lines including Covid-19. Our liability would not extend beyond this.

 Arrival

Your accommodation will be available to you from 3PM on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time as we will be busy preparing your rooms.

Departure

Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10AM on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.

Damages and Breakages

Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the accommodation or its contents. All we ask is that you report any incidents as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.

Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Travel Insurance

We recommend that guests take out travel insurance to cover medical treatment while on holiday.

We recommend that guests take out travel insurance to cover your holiday cost should you need to cancel due to a change in your circumstances, i.e. being infected with coronavirus or needing to isolate as you have had contact with someone who has coronavirus or due to government guidelines in respect of Covid-19.
